A client recently shared this gem with me:
Standing in their kitchen, procrastinating on a conceptual task, they lamented to their partner about an unexpected interruption—a repairman calling to say he’d arrive in 20 minutes.

“Oh no,” they said, “this will delay me again!”
Their partner, with impeccable timing, quipped:

“And you’ve been procrastinating so well on your own already!”

Laughter followed. And guess what? That laughter was the breakthrough they needed.

💡His lesson? Sometimes, it’s not the circumstances but our pattern of repeating thoughts holding us back. A bit of humor and self-awareness can be all it takes to break the pattern, roll up your sleeves, and get moving.

So, give yourself permission to laugh next time you’re stuck—and then take action.
